"We have not had an artist in residence in our school for three years, because it was always a risk to find someone who was effective. His two days in our classrooms offered our students more than they have received in a full week with past artists. Not only is he talented, but also engaging. Whether working in 5th grade or in Kindergarten, Jason motivated our students to believe in their ability to draw. In addition, we added a parent aspect with an evening session. Watching fathers and mothers, sitting together with their children while learning the basics of drawing, was a beautiful sight. Afterwards, parents were beaming at their child's interest and talent in drawing cartoon characters. When I commented to one mother about her son's drawing, she said, "All because of some good instruction." Thank you for providing our students with new skills and a new-found love of drawing."
